John C. Warren Jr.

John C. Warren Jr.

Center Township Board District # Five

Four Years ago I was ask to run for the Center Township Board, and the voters Democrats, Republicans, and Independents bestowed on me a very high honor by electing me to office.  I am proud and honored to serve the neighborhood I grew up and have lived in for my 48 years; I attended IPS # 78, Tech, and Howe High Scools.  I have lived on Ewing Street for the last 42 years.

In the last four years I have worked with the Trustee, his staff and the other 6 board members to make sure that every tax dollar you paid was going for the best service Center Township government could provide.

You as voters and taxpayers should know that the total township levy in 2005 will be SEVENTEEN PERCENT LESS than when I took office in 2001.  But as you know the cost of health insurance, salaries, and other expenses have gone up in the last four years.

The 2005 levy will be 64.85% below the maximum legal levy; the 2005 levy is $5,254,306.00 under the maximum legal levy.

The 2005 total expected levy rate is $.05226 per $100.00 of assessed valuation and will cost the average residential property owner $8.39.

Center Township gets just over one and a quarter of a percent of the total levy for all levies under the jurisdiction of the City County Council.

Center Township Trustees Office tax levy is $300,000.00 less than any of the other Townships in Marion County.

The former Fall Creek YMCA is now owned by Center Township two floors will be used for short-term transitional housing, the other floor will be used for emergency housing.

If I can be of service to you please contact me by phone or e-mail listed below.

You the voters and taxpayers are my boss, I work for you and the good of our township, and I thank you for choosing me to represent you for four more years.

THANK YOU for letting me serve you over the last four years And I eagerly look forward to serving you for the next four years.
